Yallla is a marketplace for legitimate work — freelance projects, jobs, and creative collaborations. These Content Guidelines explain what you can post on Yallla and what you cannot. They apply to everything you publish: listings, proposals, offers, profile bios, portfolio images and videos, usernames, company names, and any messages you send through the Service.
Yallla operates from and is most active in Kuwait. You are responsible for following the law in your own country and in any country where you offer or perform work.
WHAT YOU CAN POST
- Honest descriptions of work you want done, with a clear scope and a realistic budget.
- Honest descriptions of services you offer, with skills, samples, and rates.
- Portfolio images and video links that you own, or that you have permission to use, and that reflect your actual work.
- Public contact methods you are willing to be reached on by other Yallla users.
WHAT YOU CANNOT POST
Spam and low-quality content. • Repeated identical or near-identical listings. • Listings that are off-topic or that exist only to drive traffic somewhere else. • Keyword stuffing, fake reviews, or fake engagement.
Scams, fraud, and deception. • Phishing, pyramid schemes, "guaranteed income" schemes, fake job offers used to harvest personal information or money. • Misrepresenting who you are, what you can deliver, or what a job actually involves. • Asking for payment, deposits, or fees outside the agreed scope of work. • Anything intended to defraud another user.
Impersonation and identity misuse. • Posing as another person, business, or brand you are not authorised to represent. • Using another person's photo, name, or contact details without their consent.
Adult and explicit content. • Sexual or pornographic content, nudity, escort or companionship services, or anything that sexualises minors. This is a hard ban with no exceptions.
Hate, harassment, and violence. • Content that attacks or demeans people based on religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics. • Threats, intimidation, doxxing, or targeted harassment of any individual. • Promotion of, or fundraising for, violence or terrorism.
Illegal goods, services, and activity. • Anything illegal under the laws of your country or the country where the work would be performed. • Drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen goods, or human trafficking. • Gambling services without a licence to operate them. • Hacking-for-hire, account-takeover services, malware, or "boost my reviews" schemes.
Respect for religion and local customs. • Yallla serves a community where Islam and local cultural norms are an important part of daily life. Content that mocks, insults, or disrespects religion, sacred figures, or accepted local customs is not allowed.
Political content. • Yallla is not a political platform. We do not allow campaigning, partisan political advertising, or content that criticises or insults public officials, governments, or state institutions. Civic, civil-society, or NGO work that is genuinely apolitical is fine.
Regulated services without a licence. • Medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, immigration advice, real-estate brokerage, and similar regulated services may only be offered by users who hold a valid licence to provide them in the jurisdiction where they operate. Always describe the licence in your profile or listing.
Intellectual property. • Do not post work, images, designs, code, or text that you do not own and do not have permission to use. • Do not offer to deliver work that would infringe someone else's copyright, trademark, or other IP rights.
Personal data of others. • Do not post another person's phone number, address, ID, photo, or any other personal information without their clear consent. This includes "for hire" listings posted on behalf of someone else without authorisation.
Misuse of the Service. • Do not attempt to bypass paywall, posting, or anti-spam limits. • Do not run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against the Service. • Do not abuse the reporting or moderation system (for example, mass-reporting a competitor to take them offline).
VERIFICATION
Yallla shows two badges. A blue badge marks accounts that hold an active Yallla Pro subscription. A gold badge marks accounts that have been manually authenticated by the Yallla team. Neither badge guarantees the quality, honesty, or legality of any individual piece of work — it only signals that we have additional information about the account.
REPORTING
If you see content that violates these Guidelines, tap the three-dot menu on a listing or profile and choose Report. We review reports manually. Acting on a report can take anywhere from minutes to a few business days, depending on the volume and the seriousness of the issue.
CONSEQUENCES
Depending on the severity and the history of the account, we may:
- decline or remove a listing;
- reset or remove a profile badge;
- temporarily limit posting, proposals, or offers;
- mark the account as "under review", which suspends new posts and proposals;
- ban the account permanently.
We preserve evidence of serious violations and may share it with law enforcement where the law requires it.
APPEALS
If you believe we have made the wrong call on a listing or an account, email support@yallla.club with the listing ID or username and a short explanation of why you think the decision should be reconsidered. We review every appeal we receive.
